The agreement will focus on the permitting and O&M of Megasolar in different locations, starting with 30 MW.
“Kankyo Keiei and Gestamp Solar will work closely to identify the most suitable roof-tops and develop the required permits, licenses and authorizations” said Jorge Barredo, CEO of Gestamp Solar.
Gestamp Solar has a target of 300 MW in Japan within the next 3 years both ground-mounted and roof-top projects.
Tetsuyuki Murai, President and Representative Director of Kankyo Keiei Senryaku Soken, said, “We have been involved for many years in the energy management of more than 4,400 stores and facilities in the logistics and service industries, primarily supermarkets. We are pleased to go into partnership with Gestamp in the photovoltaic generation business.”
