PGE’s sales pipeline through 2014 has been incredibly successful and the company expects this momentum to continue through 2015. Its business model has been to incorporate more commercial projects into its strategy for 2015 while also progressively tweaking its core residential business down from 90 percent to 80 percent as the company strengthens its position in the commercial rooftop space.

“Enphase is the ideal partner for us” said Marc Jones, CEO of Pretty Green Energy. “The 20-year U.K. warranty on Enphase micro-inverters, along with the 24-hour support the company provides, enables us to deliver the highest level of product performance and assistance to our customers. In 2015 our commercial focus will primarily be agricultural sites with a plan to increase our operations in this space from 10 percent to 20 percent.”

Mr Jones, citing a report from HM Revenue and Customers Service (HMRC), added that the UK market is shifting away from cheap, low-quality installers with an average life expectancy of only 18 months. There has been an increasing number of customers who have bad experiences with their installations and are now demanding value and quality over cost. The company is therefore refitting existing systems away from cheap inverters to more reliable high-performance Enphase systems. It believes that performance, ease of design and installation and an intelligent monitoring and management platform also makes Enphase products an ideal choice for the agricultural renewable energy sector which PGE is now targeting.

Enphase recently received the 2014 Global Frost & Sullivan Award in recognition of the company's Technology Leadership. The company has made considerable progress in the provision of clean, reliable, and affordable solar energy to both the mainstream commercial and residential sectors through its innovative micro-inverters. Thus far, Enphase has shipped over seven million micro-inverters - representing over 1.4 GW - into 11 countries worldwide.

“The U.K. solar market is reaching a pivotal stage of growth where it runs the risk of low-price, low-quality solar systems potentially damaging the industry’s reputation” said Simon Baggaley, Enphase Energy UK Sales Director. “Partnerships such as the one between Pretty Green Energy and Enphase are critical to ensuring both consumer and enterprise customers continue to have access to the unsurpassed quality that our firms bring to the market.”

Pretty Green Energy (PGE) provides a range of solar services including solar PV installation and management, and biomass boilers for commercial and residential properties. The company is based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Enphase Energy delivers energy management technology for the solar industry that increases energy production, simplifies design and installation, improves system uptime and reliability, reduces fire safety risk and provides a platform for intelligent energy management. The company’s semiconductor-based micro-inverter system has been designed to convert energy at the individual solar module level, bringing a systems-based, high-technology approach to solar energy generation.
