"The opening of our new office in Australia marks another important step in Neste's global growth strategy. Our aim is to become a global leader in renewable and circular solutions. By opening a local office, we are better placed to cooperate closely with our partners to secure the supply of waste and residue raw materials," said  Matti Lehmus, Executive Vice President of Renewables Platform at Neste.

"Different waste and residues account for approximately 80 percent of our renewable raw materials globally. With our own proprietary NEXBTL technology, renewable products can be refined flexibly from a wide variety of low-quality raw materials while the end-products retain their high quality. They support our customers in reducing their climate emissions," Lehmus added.

Neste has renewable diesel production facilities in Singapore, the Netherlands and Finland. The ongoing Singapore capacity expansion will bring the total renewable production capacity of Neste to 4.5 million tons annually in 2022.

Neste's Australia office is registered as a fully-owned subsidiary of Neste, located in the city center of Melbourne.

In related news, Neste has embarked on a partnership with Salesforce to help reduce the carbon emissions of their annual Dreamforce Conference taking place in San Francisco, California, today through  November 22. By using Neste MY Renewable Diesel™ in more than 25 of their shuttle buses, Salesforce will be able to reduce the program’s greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 percent compared to fossil diesel (Using Californian LCFS carbon intensity calculation methodology).

“Dreamforce is all about getting inspired and discovering the future of technology that will change the world. Therefore we are excited to partner with Salesforce and offer Neste MY Renewable Diesel to help them reduce the event’s carbon footprint,” said Carl Nyberg, Executive Vice President of Renewable Road Transportation at Neste.
