DTBird system effective at reducing bird collisions at wind farms according to REWI technical report
A Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI) technical report has evaluated DTBird systems at two US wind farms in California and Washington, finding a significant reduction in collisions by eagles and raptors. The evaluation focused on the Manzana, California, and Goodnoe Hills, Washington, wind farms, measuring detection and deterrence effectiveness with regard to large raptors, especially golden eagles and bald eagles. |
