Etuaf Kuku Wonu, chief of Service Planning Department of Togo was quoted as saying; "The techniques of China's small hydropower is among the most advanced in the world. What we have learnt in China will be applied in our countries for tapping potential water resources."
China also makes for an ideal location for such a program with 45,000 small hydro power plants being located in the country, producing 50 million KW. This puts China atop the tables for small hydro power generation. It is hoped that this program will aid these countries to maintain and develop more energy infrastructure to drive development.
