The British company, based in Wantage, will soon list on the London Stock Exchange. The company, which makes silicon ingots for solar panels, is expected to become the largest renewable energy company listed in the UK. The company expects to go public this June.
Crystalox produced last year wafers and ingots in excess of 200 MW of capacity, and employs around 200 staff. Crystalox counts with Sharp and Schott Solar among its customers, and the company has been profitable for the last five years, an impressive record for a solar company.
“PV Crystalox Solar has a long and successful history as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of solar-grade silicon products. Over the last five years we have been consistently profitable, trebling our sales and continuing to grow our margins. We look forward to listing on the London Stock Exchange, which we believe will further enhance our ability to grow the business.” Mr. Iain Dorrity, Chief Executive Officer, PV Crystalox Solar said.
The company is now looking at Germany to create its own polysilicon production facility.
