The company has informed that it will offer promoters and developers advising in the project initial design and construction follow up phases, so as in the execution and put into operation of facilities, both at homes and businesses, schools or hospitals. Likewise, Gas Natural will offer to service the mandatory maintenance of solar facilities and technical assistance, also through the phone.

Germany, host country for the 15^th anniversary of this event, is at the forefront of clean energy development in the European Union. The expansion of renewable energies is a key focus area on the German agenda for environment and energy policies.

Gas Natural has stated that with this new business line it will contribute to develop solar energy in Spain, so as to meet the new Technical Building Code, which mandates the installation of solar collectors to meet (at least partially) the hot water needs of buildings, both new and refurbished ones.

 

The company has added that, due to its characteristics, natural gas is the most efficient supplement for solar thermal energy, as it is the fossil fuel with the lowest emissions and it also allows better (and economical) individual use.

 

Gas Natural has thus become the first energy company to join Spain's Solar Thermal Energy Industry Association (ASIT).
