Tanzania’s first ever wind farm nearing completion Tanzania’s first ever wind farm to reach financial close and start construction is nearing completion following a $1.2 million loan from the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP). The farm’s three turbines have recently arrived at the project site in Mwenga in the Mufindi District of Tanzania’s Iringa region, and installation and testing is expected to be completed by early May. |
