The 100 MW/400 MWh Ventura Energy Storage grid-scale battery, near Oxnard, Calif., has commenced construction. With the capacity to serve approximately 80,000 Southern California Edison customers, the project will provide critically-needed grid reliability services.

Crown Estate Scotland announces £500,000 to support sustainable offshore wind development in Scotland

Crown Estate Scotland has announced funding of £500,000 for the sustainable development of offshore wind in Scotland.Earlier this year, Crown Estate Scotland launched ScotWind Leasing, the first offshore wind leasing round in Scottish waters for a decade, designed to deliver a multi-billion pound investment opportunity as part of Scotland’s green recovery. The funds comprise £300,000 for Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council (SOWEC) projects and £200,000 for environmental research.

Recently released findings from an economic impact analysis detail the notable benefits FOCUS ON ENERGY®, Wisconsin’s energy efficiency and renewable energy resource program, generated for the state throughout its 2015-2018 quadrennium period. The study found Focus on Energy investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy during the 2015 – 2018 quadrennium will add $2.2 billion in economic benefits to the Wisconsin economy through 2042.
