Multi-Year Study Evaluates Two-Sided Tracking Systems for More Efficient Solar Power Generation

Early results from a three-year study at NREL, begun in May 2019, show a significant boost from the use of bifacial modules that collect light on both sides of a panel while also following the sun throughout the day. Data from June through November 2019 revealed up to a 9% gain in energy production using bifacial panels compared with their one-sided cousins.

Electrify America is investing $2 million in solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in rural California that are not tied to the electrical grid, expanding access to sustainable EV charging to drivers in rural areas.Electrify America is sourcing the chargers from Envision Solar, a San Diego-based sustainable technology company.
