| Vineyard Wind Wants To Transform Salem Harbor Into Offshore Wind Port Vineyard Wind, a joint venture between Avangrid Renewables, a subsidiary of AVANGRID, Inc., and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), announced that the company has entered into an agreement with the City of Salem and Crowley Maritime Corporation to create a public-private partnership aimed at establishing Salem Harbor as the state’s second major offshore wind port. The agreement, part of the “Commonwealth Wind” proposal, is contingent upon the company winning an award by the state of Massachusetts, which is currently evaluating offshore wind procurement bids. | Wind | Aransas Terminal – Harbor Island New Energy Port Option In Texas The Aransas Terminal Company announced it has re-envisioned and re-launched the marine terminals of Harbor Island, to serve the booming wind energy project cargo business and the offshore south Texas oil industry supply and service sector. While current wind component shipments through the port are destined for the onshore renewables sector, there is also long-term potential for offshore wind component fabrication and supply. Having no bridges to cross under and therefore no air draft restrictions whatsoever will give great flexibility to future offshore wind farm developers that chose Aransas Terminal as a service base. | The Netherlands GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X prototype starts operating at 14 MW Maine Wants Small-Scale Floating Offshore Wind Research Site Global Wind Service Ready for Phase II of EUDP Project CORTIR Vestas wins orders in Brazil and Italy Hollandse Kust (Noord) OSS substructure enters final stages of fabrication Vineyard Wind selects DEME Offshore US for foundation installation France GE Renewable Energy launches second 107-metre wind turbine blade production line at its Cherbourg factory, France Taiwan Hai Long offshore wind selects consortium to deliver two offshore substations in Taiwan Agenda WindEurope Electric City 2021 All Energy Exhibition and Conference |
