The company has been handed a five-year O&M contract by Arlington Valley Solar Energy II
Fluor Corporation has been awarded a five-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by Arlington Valley Solar Energy II, LLC (AVSE II), for its new solar power facility in Arizona. The company’s senior vice president of power, Matt McSorley, said that Fluor is looking forward to continuing work on the AVSE II project having almost completed the construction phase.
“Fluor has a 35-year legacy of providing O&M services to our customers in the Power sector” Mr McSorley continued, “and we are pleased to expand our work in the renewable energy market.”
The 125MW PV facility is located on approximately 1,160 acres of land in Maricopa County, Arizona and will help to supply renewable energy in the region while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Fluor was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the project in October 2011 and is also responsible for the EPC of the Centinela Solar Energy Facility in Southern California, which is also owned by LS Power Group, Arlington Valley’s parent company.
Fluor Corporation has a global presence with a network of offices on six continents, more than 40,000 employees worldwide and world-class expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, fabrication, operations and maintenance and project management.
