Titan Tracker courts emerging Indian solar market

Titan Tracker, which manufactures solar tracking systems, has disclosed that it has held high-level meetings with several Indian companies to supply solar trackers for forthcoming utility-scale projects in India.

Titan Tracker, a Spanish technology firm specialised in the manufacturing and commercialisation of dual-axis solar trackers, took part in the DIREC conference in New Delhi (India) in October. Since then, it has held a number of meetings with Indian firms developing solar projects as part of India’s National Solar Mission.

The company is courting several Indian companies with a view to extending them licences to manufacture Titan Tracker’s proprietary solar trackers in India.

Titan Tracker is moving into India off the back of successfully negotiating a license contract in April with Chinese firms DongFang Electric and DongFang Turbine. The company’s trackers are suitable for mounting flat PV, CPV and CSP central receiver and Stirling dish systems.
