The one-day BHA Hydro Network 2022, taking place on Thursday 30th June, is the UK’s leading hydropower event, showcasing some of the latest technologies for the hydropower supply chain, developers and investors.
The BHA Hydro Network brings together a broad cross-section of industry professionals, experts and many of the hydropower sector’s leading practitioners.
“A great deal of water has passed under the bridge since the last time the hydropower sector met in person and we are looking forward to seeing and hearing from hydro practitioners, experts and professionals” said Simon Hamlyn, CEO of the British Hydropower Association. “Never has renewable energy been as important to the UK as it is now, with energy prices rising fast. At the same time, we need to tackle the climate crisis so turning back to fossil fuels is the wrong course of action. There remain opportunities for hydro and tidal range, and the 2022 BHA Hydro Network will focus on those developments as well as some of the challenges which may lie ahead.”
Speakers at the one-day event, which is being held at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, will focus on a broad range of subjects, including hydropower innovation, electric vehicles (EVs) and hydro, battery storage, as well as how to revitalise the potential of hydropower and tidal range developments.
There will also be discussions on how to add value to hydropower – through green hydrogen, innovation in hydro technology, blockchain and hydro, community hydro and many more.
Running in parallel to this year’s event is a technical exhibition dedicated to the unique, challenging and diverse world of hydropower where companies can showcase their products and services.
