Bute Energy boosts community engagement with Give My View digital platform

Welsh onshore wind developer Bute Energy is improving community engagement in the development of its wind farms through a new partnership with Give My View, LandTech’s digital engagement platform built to make decision making easier by gathering the perspectives of a more diverse population.

This initiative aims to foster greater community engagement with the company’s onshore wind developments. Through targeted digital marketing, community members are directed to the platform, where they participate in visually engaging, easy-to-use surveys that encourage meaningful input.

Bute Energy has chosen Give My View as part of its commitment to ensuring everyone in the community can easily share their opinions. The platform will enable broader and more accessible engagement by using geographically targeted digital advertisements. Through this approach, residents can easily respond to key questions about nearby developments.

Give My View’s interactive surveys generate real-time feedback from local communities. This dynamic approach allows residents to share their thoughts on proposed wind developments, ensuring that Bute Energy’s projects align with community needs and priorities.

By using innovative platforms like Give My View, Bute Energy hopes to connect better with local communities and hear from people who don’t usually get involved in conversations about energy projects, so they can get a fuller picture of what everyone thinks.

This partnership serves as a model for how digital tools can complement traditional forms of public consultation in the renewable energy sector.

“At Bute Energy, we are committed to regular, meaningful engagement with local communities” said Rhys Taylor, External Affairs Manager at Bute Energy. “By introducing Give My View, we can reach even more members of the local community and access real-time feedback, helping us understand who is engaging with our consultations and to adapt our approach over time. This is another tool available to us to engage as many people as possible in the conversation about renewable energy and our energy parks.”

Bute Energy will use targeted surveys to gather input from people living and working near its proposed energy parks. Moving forward, Give My View will be a key tool in Bute Energy’s approach to enhancing community engagement and ensuring local voices shape the future of renewable energy in Wales.

Collaborating with renewable energy companies is always a pleasure for us, especially when they share our commitment to meaningful community engagement” added Lia Butler, Strategic Client Services Manager at Give My View. “Bute Energy has shown a genuine dedication to building strong, transparent relationships with the community, and we’re proud to be a part of that. By making it easier for people to give their views and feel included in the conversation, we’re helping local voices actively shape the future of energy in Wales.”
