Small And Large Business Lighting Upgrades Cater to Diverse Commercial Needs
The Small And Large Business Lighting Upgrades program targets outdated and inefficient lighting systems in car parks, warehouses, and many small business and commercial premises.
Joshua Liptak, CEO of Efficient Energy Group, an Accredited Certificate Provider, explains, "NSW businesses that use less than 273kWh per day are eligible for a $33 co-payment LED upgrade under the Home Energy Efficiency Retrofit scheme. Under this section of the ESS, my company will expertly replace old fluorescent lights and downlights with state-of-the-art energy efficient LEDs."
Businesses exceeding the 273kWh threshold are classed as commercial lighting consumers but Liptak notes that they can still "access substantial rebates of up to 80% on upgrade costs. Our company specialises in transforming commercial lighting, including fluorescent, high bay lights, floodlights, and downlights, into energy-efficient LED alternatives for these larger businesses."
Small And Large Business Lighting Upgrades Extend To Car ParksS
Car parks are another area where the NSW Government is targeting old inefficient lighting. By partnering with ACPs like Efficient Energy Group, the government is making it easier for car park owners to revamp their lighting systems.
Liptak said, "Upgrading your car park lighting not only enhances driver safety but also significantly reduces power consumption. EEG can offer substantial rebates of up to $10,000, courtesy of the NSW ESS scheme. The final cost of the rebate is subject to the number of fittings requiring replacement and the type of modern LEDs chosen."
Small And Large Business Lighting Upgrades Transform Warehouses
Similarly, many warehouses currently have halogen high bay lights because they were cheap to install but these savings are very quickly negated by their high operational costs.
Liptak elaborates, "Halogen warehouse lighting is exceptionally expensive to run but EEG, in collaboration with the NSW State Government, can help with warehouse lighting rebates of up to $20,000. We specialize in upgrading existing warehouse lighting to energy-efficient lighting like LED high bay lights, and the final rebate amount depends on the facility's size and the LEDs selected."
