"This agreement strengthens our cooperation with CATL," said Marco Roeleveld, CEO of Alfen. "With this agreement in place, we can continue to deliver our TheBattery™ energy storage solutions and support Europe's growing expansion in renewable energy and balance electricity supply and demand."
Alfen's Energy Storage Solutions
Alfen has been developing energy storage systems since 2011 with installations in over nine European countries, and it has over 777 MWh of energy capacity contracted in 11 European countries. Its solutions are underpinned by two key products tailored for different markets and applications but based on the same design principles to ensure optimal performance, flexibility, modularity and longevity.
TheBattery Elements
Alfen's proven industrial modular energy storage system for stationary applications ranging from 1 to 100MW+ energy storage solutions. It has a high energy density and can be delivered in modular outdoor building blocks.
TheBattery Mobile
Alfen's sustainable alternative for diesel generators and limited grid connections. Introduced in June 2023, TheBattery Mobile X is Alfen's fourth generation mobile battery energy storage system, offering up to 70% more energy (up to 720 kWh and 270 kW of power) in the same compact 10ft container as previous generations.
Alfen continues to install its solutions throughout Europe. In December, Alfen and SemperPower completed the largest battery energy storage system in terms of energy capacity ever built in the Netherlands. And the company purchased a new 15,800 square meter facility at BusinessPark de Vaart in Almere to expand its production capacity and cater to its customers' increasing needs in energy storage.
