The order was placed by Italian wind energy operator ERG Renew, one of top 10 operators in Europe. The turbines for the plant will be delivered in the second quarter of 2015 with commissioning expected in the third quarter of 2015.
The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the 21 V90-2.0 MW turbines, along with a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
Klaus Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe, said that Vestas is pleased to have been chosen by ERG Renew to partner with them in this project and the company is now aiming to deliver a flawless execution of the contract to maximise the business case for ERG. The partnership between the two companies will be long-term, in line with Vestas regular business practice.
So far, Vestas has delivered about 540 wind turbines, totalling more than 1,100 MW, to wind energy projects in Poland.
