The Minokamo Biomass Plant is being constructed in Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture. It is a wood-fired biomass power plant that will produce 7.1 MW, mainly utilizing for fuel unused thinned wood harvested in Gifu Prefecture. The plant is scheduled to commence operation in October 2023.
Chubu Electric Power, Sago, and Mitsubishi HC Capital are promoting initiatives to realize a carbon-free society. With this power generation project, they will recycle domestic resources, thereby contributing to decarbonization and reducing the environmental footprint.
Together with the understanding and cooperation of the local community and other stakeholders,Minokamo Biomass Plant LLC will construct this power plant, placing safety as the highest priority.
