Four of the UK’s leading innovators will exhibit on the UK Pavilion as participants in the APC’s International Events Programme, in partnership with Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Department for International Trade, SMMT and Innovate UK;

Autocraft Solutions Group provides electric vehicle (EV) battery, powertrain and engineering solutions to the global market. The company’s EV Solutions division in Grantham, Lincolnshire provides EV battery remanufacturing and new battery assembly, with the capacity of up to 2,000 vehicle sets per year. They will be exhibiting their unique State-of-Health (SoH) testing equipment, which quickly and safely identifies failed modules and cells within EV battery packs.

Eatron Technologies is a rapidly growing technology start-up head-quartered in Warwick (UK). Eatron develops and offers licenses for its unique software components to OEMs and Tier-1s worldwide who need production-ready automotive-grade software solutions in their journey to electrification (BMS) and autonomy (ADAS) for any kind of vehicle. They will be exhibiting their battery management software which uses artificial intelligence and advanced estimation methods to ensure accurate and reliable estimation of the battery states.

Samuel Taylor Limited (STL), in Redditch, is a manufacturer of precision stamped components and busbars typically used in batteries, energy storage systems and switches. They will be showing examples of their bimetallic strip products and precision stamping expertise on typical cell busbar connection plates.

TWI Ltd is a global research and technology organisation, which includes UK operations near Cambridge. The company provides technical support in joining and technologies such as material science, structural integrity, non-destructive testing, surfacing, electronic packaging and cutting. TWI has been supporting EV and battery development for many major OEM’s and their supply chain over the past few years including 25 million battery welds in the past 12 months

The development of new powertrain technologies is key to delivering the UK Government’s ambitious net-zero emissions targets and is integral to the UK’s green recovery post-COVID-19. APC is at the heart of the UK’s strategy, providing support and funding for the research, development and industrialisation of technologies that aim to accelerate the realisation of net zero-emission vehicles. APC’s International Events Programme creates opportunities for SMEs to demonstrate their ground-breaking technologies to international investors and prospective customers at some of the world’s pre-eminent trade shows.

The Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo is run alongside The Battery Show Europe, creating Europe’s largest H/EV and advanced battery technology trade fair. Attended by more than 400 international suppliers, the event is a leading meeting place for powertrain technology.

“Our International Events Programme is helping the next generation of low carbon innovators gain a foothold on the global stage, showcasing the latest product developments” said Jo Evans, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Advanced Propulsion Centre. “This complements our funding programmes, increasing awareness of emerging technologies and how they are the heart of the UK’s green revolution. We have a fantastic array of companies joining us on the UK Pavilion, flying the flag for UK industry at The Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo.”
