The expanded program is the company's first sustainability initiative dedicated to helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) partners across the electrical value chain measure, manage and reduce carbon emissions while improving operational performance – all enabled by SE Advisory Services, Schneider Electric's global consulting practice.

A structured program to strengthen the electrical value chain

Through the Decarbonization Champion Program, Schneider Electric collaborates with its global network of partner SMEs, offering a structured decarbonization roadmap that combines Greenly's carbon accounting platform with SE Advisory Services' targeted sustainability consulting support to accelerate decarbonization across the global value chain.

The program delivers an estimated value of more than $34,000 per year for each channel partner, including:

  • Access to the Schneider Electric Sustainability and Energy Tech School to upskill partner teams on sustainability fundamentals.

  • Greenly platform access to measure, visualize, track, and report Scopes 1 and 2 emissions.

  • SE Advisory Services consultancy, combining remote audits, strategy workshops, and the co-creation of decarbonization roadmaps. Access to selected Schneider Electric decarbonization technologies and financial incentives.

  • Co-branded recognition for participating partners.

Early results show strong financial upside

Pilot deployments in the Pacific region highlight the potential business impact. Based on the first audits conducted for participating organizations by SE Advisory Services, one contractor identified more than $28,500 in annual savings opportunities, while a Queensland-based manufacturer uncovered over $178,000  in potential savings through operational improvements including air system efficiency, load shifting, and equipment optimization.

The program is currently being rolled out globally through Schneider Electric's partner ecosystem.

Rising expectations from end customers and an evolving regulatory landscape

The collaboration comes as companies across global value chains face growing pressure to demonstrate environmental performance and support their customers' sustainability goals. As large organizations increasingly seek emissions data and sustainability commitments from suppliers, SMEs are being asked to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint while improving operational efficiency.

At the same time, regulations such as the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Australia's Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (CRFD) regime, are accelerating demand for greater transparency across value chains, making sustainability capabilities an increasingly important source of business resilience and competitive differentiation.

For SMEs across the electrical ecosystem, including panel builders, contractors, and system integrators, this presents both a challenge and opportunity. While many SMEs recognize the business value of decarbonization, they often lack the resources, expertise, or tools to turn ambition into action. The Decarbonization Champion Program is designed to help close that gap.

A shift from compliance to competitiveness

"This program reflects our commitment as an Energy Tech Partner to creating value across our partner ecosystem. Together with Greenly, we are helping our partners build the capabilities needed to meet evolving market expectations, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate decarbonization," said Bin Lu, Executive Vice President, Power Products, Schneider Electric. "By combining digital tools with expert guidance, we are enabling our partners to deliver long-term business value and sustainability impact."
