Network Live Zone sold out at Energy Live 2012

Energy Live 2012 is proving to be very popular and the Network Live Zone has completely sold out. The conference, which will be held on November 1st at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London, will feature delegates from the UK’s leading renewable energy organizations including the major energy suppliers and figures from government and industry. It’s being hosted by Energy Live News, the news and online TV website for the energy sector. The programme features a debate on the government’s energy plans and the current level of trust in the energy sector as well as a keynote address from Energy Secretary Ed Davey. Ernst & Young will be explaining why renewable energy is a vital factor for our economy and this is just a small part of what’s happening at the conference. The CEO’s of the big six energy companies will be there, so will be Shadow Energy Secretary Caroline Flint and many other prominent figures.

“Having not only the Energy Secretary but his Shadow, three bosses of the big 6 and Angela Knight all attending the same conference on the same day has really proved popular” said Energy Live News (ELN) Editor Sumit Bose. “Our readers want answers and they can see this conference will let them put the people in power on the spot. We've designed the day to be as informal as a conference can be without losing the essence of what we do at ELN. You won't see any PowerPoint, there won't be any long boring speeches and we will be keeping everyone on their toes. We're not afraid to ask the people in charge the questions they never get asked and already we have had a whole list of questions from delegates who have signed up. We want as much audience interaction as possible.”

Energy Live 2012's line up is now finalised with some new speakers announced. Haydn Young from Gaia Active will be joining the peer to peer session. Haydn is a pioneering energy manager who has a specialism in seeking opportunities in green and sustainable energy. Gaynor Hartnell is joining our Women in Energy debate. As the head of the Renewable Energy Association (REA), she has been one of the leading female voices in the sector for more than a decade making her case for renewables with both industry and politicians.
