During that period eight new companies were awarded licenses to operate in the park. The increase brings the total number of companies operating in the park to 48.

Word of the success of Enpark, which is a member of Tecom Investments, came as more than 1,300 arrived in the emirate for GulfSol, the first dedicated exhibition to the PV and Solar industries in the Mena region at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event runs through tomorrow, 5 September.

According to the report, which cited Mena Renewables Status Report 2013 as its source, there are currently more than 100 renewable energy projects including solar, wind and biomass under development in the region.
