PVFarm launches utility-scale solar and solar+storage optimisation platform RE Pilot

PVFarm has launched the commercial version of its platform for utility-scale solar + energy storage project optimisation, RE Pilot, part of an expanding suite of tools for utility-scale renewable energy design that enables teams to explore a wide range of project configurations before progressing into detailed engineering.

RE Pilot enables developers, EPCs, and storage specialists to evaluate thousands of utility-scale solar and colocated solar-plus-storage configurations in a single workflow. The platform tests layout, storage sizing, and placement against energy production, project economics, and grid constraints simultaneously.

Input from more than 150 hours of conversations with specialists across more than 60 organisations directly shaped the platform’s capabilities. Combined with RE Stack, collaboration with over 80 companies during beta testing surfaced the critical design considerations project teams weigh every day. This extensive engagement ensured RE Pilot can solve real-world project challenges while reflecting the latest technology and market dynamics.
