The projects mark Smartports’ transition from individual installations to a large-scale rollout.
The initiative comprises 49 projects across Sweden, with an estimated total of:
500 Smartports
1.6 MWp of combined solar capacity
12 MWh of total battery storage capacity
Distributed across Sweden from north to south, the projects will transform already developed parking areas into local energy hubs combining solar power, battery storage, EV charging and weather-protected parking.

For property owners, the projects are aimed at creating an opportunity to transform existing parking areas into productive, revenue-generating energy assets. By using land that has already been developed, new local energy infrastructure can be established without taking additional land into use, while creating value for property owners, tenants and local communities.
