Ingeteam will present its full range of electrical equipment for wind turbines at Husum

Since 1997 with over 3,600 people in around 15 countries, Ingeteam is a world leader in the provision of power converters, electric generators, control electronics, electrical pitch regulators, integrated wind farm management systems and maintenance to wind turbine manufacturers.

Ingeteam, which is also present in other sectors such as shipbuilding, railways and iron-steel, has more than 13 years’ experience in the wind energy sector, having installed converters and generators for 17,000 MW throughout the world. It currently has production facilities in USA, China and Europe.

The company will be at the Husum wind energy trade fair (stand number 3E10) in Germany, which starts tomorrow and runs until 25 September. It will present some innovative solutions, already developed for the medium-voltage range, which demonstrate the company's ability to make full use of the knowledge acquired in other industrial fields and its ongoing commitment to the development of in-house products. Each year, the company ploughs around 4% on average back into R&D.

Electric vehicle charging

Always looking for new markets, Ingeteam recently entered the electric vehicle sector, launching two electric vehicle charging stations. It offers a floor-mounted model to be installed on public highways, and a wall-mounted model for garages and parking lots.

The stations are equipped with a remote reservation facility and LED signals telling the user that the station is available for vehicle charging or that the charging process is completed.

Initially, it is expected that these stations will be equipped to provide a full electric vehicle charge, offering a range of 100 km, within three to eight hours (depending on the type of charge - single-phase or three-phase).
