Vestas receives 100 MW order for China

The orders have been placed by Datang (Chifeng) Renewable Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Datang Corporation. China Datang is one of the leading wind power developers in China with a nationwide presence. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the end of 2008 with completion expected during the first half of 2009.

Thorbjørn N Rasmussen, President of Vestas Asia Pacific A/S was quoted as saying; “The Chifeng area in Inner Mongolia has some of the richest wind resources in China, and Vestas has a long experience dealing with the local conditions in the area,” “Datang is one of the leading wind power operators in China and a long-term customer of Vestas.
