BWSC is building the 15.8 MW, wood-fueled biomass power station on a 10-acre site in Lisahally. The facility, a first for Ireland, is also the first project being developed and funded by ERE Developments.
it is is expected to become operational in 2015.
Alstom units in the United Kingdon, Hungary and Poland will design and manufacture of the turbine.
