In addition to its main categories, Zapmap presents a special award each year to recognise an up-and-coming network that has received exceptional feedback from users. This year’s award goes to Arnold Clark Charge, which achieved impressive ratings across all five key metrics, including the highest score of all networks for customer support.
Zapmap also highlighted the network’s competitive pricing – around 55p per kWh – and praised its reliability and ease of use.
Launched last year as part of a £30 million investment by Arnold Clark, the UK’s largest independently owned, family-run car retailer, Arnold Clark Charge has quickly become popular with EV drivers looking to charge their car on the go. The network now features over 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs, which are located at Arnold Clark branches across the UK and all open to the public. Each hub offers up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers, delivering speeds of up to 150kW and enabling drivers to charge quickly and get back on the road.
Payments can be made easily through the Arnold Clark app or via contactless at all charging locations, with more sites set to open over the next few months.
“We are delighted that Arnold Clark Charge has been recognised as the Best Up-and-Coming Rapid/Ultra-Rapid Network in the 2025 Zapmap user survey” said Russell Borrie, Chief Executive Officer at Arnold Clark. “This recognition means a great deal because it comes directly from EV drivers. We’re proud to offer our customers a reliable, easy and stress-free charging experience at locations across the UK. As we continue to expand our network, our goal remains to make EV charging as convenient and accessible as possible for all drivers.”
