MOVA LumeGret introduces the S4800 split-architecture platform at Intersolar Europe 2026
How Modular Energy Storage Is Expanding Beyond Traditional Solar Homes

How Modular Energy Storage Is Expanding Beyond Traditional Solar Homes

A 40 kg cabinet does not fit up most stairways in European cities without booking a crane. That physical reality, more than any policy framework or market trend, is why the next generation of residential storage is arriving in a fundamentally different form. At Intersolar Europe / ees Europe 2026, the S4800 from MOVA LumeGret separates the inverter and battery intoindependently transportable modules: the inverter at 14.8 kg, the battery pack at 28.3 kg. A single technician with a hand truck replaces the crane and the scheduling complexity that goes with it. After years of all-in-one cabinets built for detached houses with rooftop solar, the shift to apartments, balcony installations, and retrofit properties where stairs, weight limits, and tenant permissions matter as much as kilowatt-hours has found a form factor to match.

A formal definition for agrivoltaics, which integrates solar energy into agricultural production, is critically important to pave the way for well-developed, properly sited agrivoltaics across Virginia.
