Trinasolar Achieves 907W Power Output for its Tandem Modules, Setting a New World Record

Trinasolar has announced that its independently developed perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem module has reached a peak power output of 907W and a full-area module efficiency of 29.2%, as verified by TÜV SÜD, a leading global testing and certification institute.

This achievement sets a new world record for tandem modules power output. To date, Trinasolar has now set or broken 41 world records in PV technology, underscoring its position as a pioneer in solar innovation and R&D excellence.

Perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem technology represents one of the most promising technologies for next generation PV advancement. The successful development of this 907W ultra-high-power module is built upon Trinasolar’s 210mm large-area tandem cell technology system, with performance enhanced through a host of core technological optimizations.

The R&D team addressed key technical challenges by improving the uniformity of perovskite thin films, upgrading interfacial passivation solutions, and optimizing spectral absorption matching for tandem structures. These efforts have delivered remarkable improvements in both conversion efficiency and operational stability of tandem cells.

Notably, Trinasolar has increased its tandem module power from 808W to 907W in just over one year.  Importantly, the module is based on a standard industrial area and fully complies with mainstream industry specifications, demonstrating strong commercial potential beyond laboratory-scale demonstrations.
