The project follows the signing of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with SIREOS and a financing agreement with Crédit Agricole. With the Commercial Operation Date (COD) expected in July 2027, Castellammare represents a tangible advancement in Italy’s renewable energy capacity.
Qair’s portfolio in Italy includes 1.5 GW of wind, solar, and renewable hydrogen projects, alongside an advanced pipeline of 2.3 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects to address grid congestion challenges.
The Castellammare project demonstrates Qair’s ability to transform Italy’s renewable potential into tangible production capacity, reinforcing the country’s energy sovereignty. It marks a further step in Qair’s strategy to focus on Europe and its core markets, delivering concrete results in line with its roadmap.
“Launching Castellammare is an important milestone in the execution of our strategy in Europe” said Charles Lhermitte, COO at Qair. “Italy is one of our key markets, and this project demonstrates our ability to deliver on our commitments.”
