Gamesa secures 98 MW contract in Italy

The wind turbines will be installed on the Cattolica and Lercara 1 wind farms in the Agrigento and Lercara regions. Gamesa plans to install the machines during 2009 and will also be responsible for their initial start-up, operation and maintenance.

“Winning this new contract reinforces Gamesa’s excellent position in the transalpine market: one of our strategic markets,” states the company in a communiqué. To date, Gamesa has installed 745 MW of wind turbines in Italy and plans to double this capacity over the next four years.
