The Prime Renewables GmbH, a company of Prime Capital AG, has acquired a portfolio of three operational wind farms with a total capacity of 27.5 MW.
The portfolio consists of Enercon and Nordex turbines in Pas-de-Calais in the north and Moselle in north-eastern France.
"With the previously acquired portfolio, we are achieving a net return of 8 percent annually for our investors," says Dr. Werner Goricki, the firm's managing director. "We believe that the current investment program will be completed by mid-2013 and are now preparing the next round of financing."
The projects benefit from a feed-in tariff for 15 years and have a conservative capital structure. The wind farms are on the network since 2008 and 2009 respectively and have since an energy production of about 50 GWh per year achieved.
Through the many years of operational history results in a reliable basis for planning, which complements the defensive nature of the investment strategy of the Prime Renewables GmbH, the investors said.
The Prime Renewables GmbH intends to operate the wind farms for the next 25 years.
