Bayer and bp today announced that they have entered a long-term strategic alliance to jointly scale the crop camelina, under the brand name newgold™. The alliance will commercialize camelina starting in North America. bp brings expertise in fuels and refining, while Bayer will utilize its industry leading expertise in seed technology, as well as its extensive farmer customer base.

Discovery to Impact, the group overseeing the UT Seed Fund and research commercialization at The University of Texas at Austin, has invested in Celadyne Technologies, a materials science and energy systems startup from UT’s Cockrell School of Engineering. Celadyne will use the $250,000 investment from the UT Seed Fund to advance hydrogen’s role in securing critical defense and industrial applications while building a more resilient energy economy.

Mobius Renewables announced  closing of the acquisition of Air Liquide’s biogas production activities in the United States, France, Norway, and Sweden. The acquisition includes six operating landfill gas-to-RNG sites in the U.S., five operating farm waste sites in France, and a 51% interest in Redo Biosolutions with production and distribution assets across Norway and Sweden.
