Flexenclosure wins a place on Stockholm’s Cleantech Hotlist

Flexenclosure is a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of prefabricated data centre buildings and intelligent power management systems for the ICT industry. The company has now been named as one of the 25 most interesting cleantech companies in Stockholm, Sweden, which is one of the world’s leading tech regions and is also widely regarded as a world leader in environmental technology.

The Stockholm Cleantech Hotlist is a tool that presents the region’s hottest prospects to investors. In order to qualify, companies must offer a product or service based on unique research that will lead to a commercial solution with global potential. The list is compiled by Stockholm Business Region Development and Cleantech Scandinavia. Flexenclosure was chosen for inclusion on the hot list because of its eSite solution, a ‘green’ hybrid power system for off-grid and bad-grid cell sites that can cut diesel costs and CO2 emissions by up to 90 per cent. eSite uses solar energy with a back-up genset and an intelligent control system to minimise energy related operating costs. The eSite system has grown rapidly in popularity among mobile operators and mobile phone tower companies in especially Africa and Asia.

“With the Stockholm Cleantech Hotlist we are offering a stamp of approval” said Janey Mehks, Cleantech Project Manager at Stockholm Business Region Development. “The region is of great interest to foreign investors, and we have an excellent reputation in the world of research with lots of exciting companies. This list does the legwork for those seeking investment opportunities.”

Flexenclosure was founded in 1989 and is based in Vara, Sweden, with headquarters in Stockholm and additional offices in India, Kenya, Malaysia, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa and the UAE.
