IPVEA to exhibit at Solar Power International 2010

The International PV Equipment Association (IPVEA), an independent, non-profit organisation of manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic (PV) fabrication equipment and related raw materials, has announced that it will exhibit at the upcoming Solar Power International, scheduled to take place on 12-14 October at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles (US).

The overall mission of the association is to provide members with a forum for information, the discussion and exchange of ideas, as well as ways to develop business opportunities and strategic partnerships. The association is the unified voice of the manufacturing segment of the PV industry. As such, the association evaluates and recommends exhibitions, conferences, sales channels and methods of communications that can be effective for its member companies.

The association pursues its long term-goals in a number of ways, including supporting events that provide the best opportunities for member companies with booth discounts and association branding/sponsorship.

Founded in May 2008, the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) is an independent, non-profit organization of manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic (PV) fabrication equipment and related raw materials used in PV ingot, wafer, cell (crystalline and thin-film), and panel manufacturing. The overall mission of the association is to provide members with a forum for information, discussion and exchange of ideas, as well as ways to develop business opportunities and strategic partnerships. The association is the unified voice of the manufacturing segment of the PV industry. As such, the association evaluates and recommends exhibitions, conferences, sales channels and methods of communications that can be effective for its member companies.

Solar Power International is the premier US event for the global solar energy market, the 2009 show broke all previous records and conference organizers expect the event to reflect the continued growth of the global solar energy market.

This year’s agenda features dynamic keynotes, including an address by James Carville and Mary Matalin, the highly anticipated annual CEO Panel, and more than 35 breakout sessions covering the latest developments in policy, finance, markets and technology. The exhibit floor encompasses the complete range of solar energy technologies: photovoltaics, concentrating photovoltaics, concentrating solar power (also referred to as solar thermal electric), solar water heating, and space heating and cooling. Networking opportunities abound in the bustling exhibit hall, opening reception and ever-popular Solar Block Party, this year at LA Live. Unlike other solar conferences and expos in the U.S. – typically presented by for-profit entities – the proceeds from Solar Power International are reinvested by non-profit organizers SEPA and SEIA back into policy, research and education activities that support accelerated growth of the US solar market.
