SolarEdge and LG Electronics have agreed to join forces in order to supply new solar modules for the North American market.
SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. and LG Electronics USA have introduced a joint smart module targeting the high-end residential and commercial PV rooftop markets in North America. The smart module was presented at the 2017 Solar Power International trade show this week and is the first smart module solution from the two companies, including both add-on and embedded power optimiser options for both commercial and residential systems.
The package combines SolarEdge’s inverters with LG’s NeON R modules, which have a module efficiency of up to 21.1 percent, the P370 and P800 power optimisers for residential and commercial installations respectively, as well as free module-level monitoring. Benefits include no power clipping, increased efficiency, flexible array design and a multitude of racking options.
“The PV industry is moving rapidly toward module-level power optimisation to meet the cost, safety and performance requirements of the market” said Stephen Hahm, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics USA’s Energy Solutions Business. “Adding the SolarEdge solution to our product portfolio will help us better serve our customers. We put utmost priority on listening to the market and delivering the strongest products and partnerships to our customers.”
Peter Mathews, SolarEdge’s North America General Manager, added that the joint offering represents a powerful step towards SolarEdge’s vision of all PV systems benefitting from module-level optimisation and joining forces with a market leader like LG further solidifies the role of power optimisers in the Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) sector.
LG’s NeON R series include a 25-year complete coverage warranty, enhanced design aesthetics and the modules feature a back contact technology. The residential version is compatible with SolarEdge’s HD-Wave inverters, StorEdge solution, and Inverter-Integrated EV chargers. The module-level monitoring can be easily connected through hardwired internet or a cellular network. The solution complies with the latest safety standards, such as NEC 2017, and smart-inverter protocols, for example Rule 21.
The LG NeON R modules with add-on power optimisers are available now, and the smart module will be introduced at a later date.
VC over IPSec VPN works fine man. Don\'t know why you\'re experiencing this, it should\'ve never happened. You should check your ports etc and review the settings again. I use it to access Kodi Media Player illegal content. https://crumbles.co/vpn-for-kodi/
