Cener is joined on the project by Nixus Consulting, Ynfiniti and Parsons Brinckerhoff.
Managed by the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) and funded by the World Bank and the African Development Bank, Cener’s main function over the next 12 months is to select the most appropriate solar thermal electric technology, choose the size and configuration of the plant, and finally decide on the ideal location.
Manuel Blanco, Cener’s Solar Power Director, visited the Southern African country last week to kick start the project alongside all the institutions and entities involved, open Cener’s office in Botswana, and carry out a review of the scope of work along with other project partners.
