The CfDs were secured through the French government’s latest onshore wind tender (AO PPE2 Éolien Terrestre), with Escofi emerging as the dominant bidder, accounting for approximately 10 percent of total capacity awarded.
The tender attracted 171 bids totalling approximately 2.7 GW against a target capacity of 1 GW. Of these projects, only 63 were successful, with Escofi securing awards for: the 16.8 MW Camp Thibault, 25.55 MW Colzas, 13.5 MW Flot, 19.2 MW Bertaignemont and 27.2 MW Bronne Sans Souci onshore wind projects, all located in northern France.
All five projects are at an advanced stage of development. The CfDs will provide guaranteed tariffs for 20 years from the commercial operation of each project, helping to secure steady revenue streams for Econergy’s growing French wind portfolio.
The latest awards follow Escofi’s success in earlier CfD auctions – announced in August 2026 – in which the company secured 20-year CfDs for three onshore wind projects totalling 46 MW. Together, the two auction successes represent approximately 148 MW across eight onshore wind sites, with the CfD component expected to generate approximately 27 million in annual revenues once the projects reach commercial operation.
“This is a significant achievement for Econergy and Escofi, and a testament to the quality and competitiveness of our French team and its operations” said Eyal Podhorzer, CEO of Econergy. “Securing the largest share of capacity in a very competitive auction – with a 100 percent success rate for all submissions – demonstrates the strength of Escofi’s development team and their ability to build high-quality onshore wind facilities. With the CfDs in place, we now have an even stronger foundation on which to continue building our rapidly growing, diversified renewable energy portfolio across Europe.”
The awards represent an important milestone for Econergy in France, following its market entry through the acquisition of Escofi in September 2026. The deal significantly expanded Econergy’s wind asset base, and the CfDs further support the company’s strategy of developing a diversified portfolio of renewable energy assets underpinned by long-term contracted revenues.
