Approximately 2,000 professionals from around the world gathered in Detroit for four days of educational sessions, networking, and learning about the latest technologies and services driving growth in the biogas industry.
“The strong turnout and record exhibit hall this year highlight the continued momentum of the biogas industry,” said ABC Executive Director Patrick Serfass. “This year’s BIOGAS AMERICAS shows how much our country needs our biogas industry to recycle the millions of tons of organic residue that we produce each year into renewable energy and fertilizer. This is the event where all the companies who help do that gather.”
This year’s BIOGAS AMERICAS conference sessions covered a wide range of timely topics, including emerging markets such as maritime fuels, project development best practices, federal and state policy updates, on-farm biogas production, and strategies for quantifying and monetizing carbon reductions in a rapidly evolving climate and energy landscape.
Attendees found the extensive networking a huge asset in making connections, solidifying contacts, and catalyzing future deals. To make the event even better this year, ABC extended the length of the show and added new events including BIOGAS 101 for those new to the conference, a biogas facility tour, a kick-off party, and a special event for young professionals in the industry.
ABC’s next event, BUSINESS OF BIOGAS, will take place October 20–22, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.
