However there has been less rainfall than normal , adding to this is the fact that there is little more predicted. Spot electricity prices have been at record highs. However a good week of rain according to experts could once again fill up the reserves. Another strategy being considered is reduction of power consumption, although it remains to be seen whether this is necessary.
