The aim is to ensure that federal government delivers results for communities, workers and ratepayers. The recommendations were submitted by BCSE in response to the SEEC Institute’s request for information for the Thriving Economy Project. Through this, the SEEC Institute is developing a new policy blueprint aimed at strengthening economic competitiveness, creating jobs, and delivering affordable and reliable energy for American families and businesses. The project will culminate in a landmark report to be released in September 2026 outlining a roadmap to build a vibrant, competitive, and sustainable US economy.
“At the core of BCSE’s submission is a foundational principle shared by SEEC members: Policy certainty enables investment, lowers costs for families and businesses, and strengthens US competitiveness” said BCSE President Lisa Jacobson. “BCSE looks forward to working with the SEEC Institute and Coalition members to develop durable, bipartisan solutions to achieve US energy abundance.”
Areas of priority for BCSE include congressional action on permitting reform legislation, appropriations, and tax policy to continue the growth of clean energy and provide for US energy abundance at a time of increasing energy demand and load growth. Additionally, BCSE’s submission included case studies of energy solutions in practice that are keeping costs low and driving economic growth in states across America.
BCSE’s small business division, the Clean Energy Business Network (CEBN), also submitted policy recommendations to the SEEC Institute Thriving Economy Project. CEBN encompasses a network of more than 8,000 cleantech business and community leaders across all 50 states.
