Enertis Solar wins contract to control the quality of GA Solar’s PV solar installations in Italy

The Spanish company Enertis Solar has entered the Italian market thanks to a contract to analyse the efficiency of 12 of GA Solar’s plants in Foggia, Lucera, Sanicandro, Carpino and on the roof of the Lamborgini factory in Bolonia.

Enertis Solar, the engineering and technical service company which has led the way in controlling the quality of PV solar installations, has signed an agreement with GA Solar to analyse the functioning and optimisation of this company’s installations in Italy. This contract is the Spanish company’s first in the Italian market.

Enertis will control the productivity and efficiency of 12 of GA Solar’s PV solar plants, including one of the roof of the Lamborgini factory in Bolonia, which have a combined capacity of 12 MW. These installations form part of the 20 MW portfolio of projects which GA Solar, a Gestamp Corporation company, will bring on line in Italy during 2009. In doing so, it will repeat the success of the model implemented in Spain in recent years.

The Chairman of Enertis Solar, José Luis Galindo, declared that “this project represents a strategic milestone in Enertis Solar’s international expansion and once again highlights the excellence of the PV sector in Spain, which is already a leader in the international market”.

Galindo thanked GA Solar for the confidence it has placed in Enertis’ technical services: “it gives Enertis great pleasure to gain the trust of GA Solar, a company which is well established in the sector and with a clear focus on innovation, quality and efficiency – key drivers behind the growth of PV solar energy”.

Italy is a strategic market for Enertis, which commenced operations in Spain in 2006. “Our objective is to transfer our experience as technical advisors in installing PV solar installations to Italy in order to benefit from the similarities between the two countries and Italy’s huge potential for growth, with a very attractive feed-in tariff for PV solar energy and high levels of irradiation”, explained Enertis Solar’s Chairman.

Enertis Solar already operates in Spain and the United States, having constructed two of the 10 largest PV solar plants in the world in Murcia (Spain). It currently manages 85 MWp of PV solar installations and has offices in Madrid and Murcia (Spain), Rome and Palermo (Italy) and in the US.
