The projects will total 8 MW, and they include what will become America's largest rooftop facility, totalling an impressive 2.3 MW on top of Toyota Motor Sales' Parts Center. The other plants include a 1 MW rooftop plant on HP's buildings in San Diego, a 1 MW tracking facility on Agilent Technologies' parking in Santa Rosa, a solar plant for a jail and two wastewater treatment plants, totalling 2.4 MW, in Santa Rosa, and another one for Murrieta.
Construction is set to start next month. This is just another prove that the Californian "million solar roof" program, which aims for 3 GW in the next ten years, is starting to work pretty well. And lower lower equipment prices will just make things better...
