Innergex Announces the Full Commissioning of La Cense Wind Farm in France

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. and EOLFI  announced the full commissioning of the La Cense wind farm, located in the municipality of Saint-André-Farivillers, approximately 25 km northeast of Beauvais, in the Oise department in France. The facility is equipped with four Nordex N117 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW, for a total installed capacity of 13.2 MW.

“The La Cense wind farm is fully aligned with Innergex’s development strategy in France, which focuses on building a portfolio of high-performing, sustainable assets that are firmly rooted in local communities. This project complements our existing operations, strengthens our footprint in the Hauts-de-France region, and creates synergies with our other nearby assets,” said Jean Trudel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Innergex.

“We are particularly proud of the success of the community investment initiative for the La Cense project, which reflects strong local support and engagement. Its commissioning also highlights the momentum of our team and the strength of our advanced development portfolio in France, especially in wind and agrivoltaic projects. Each new project reinforces our ability to move forward efficiently and in close collaboration with local stakeholders,” said Guillaume Jumel, Vice President and Managing Director, France, at Innergex.

Each year, the La Cense wind farm will generate approximately 33,000 MWh of clean electricity, avoiding an estimated 1,425 tons of CO₂ emissions annually and contributing to France’s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

A project partly financed by local communities

To foster local participation, a community investment campaign was launched in late 2025 for residents of the Oise department and neighboring areas (Aisne, Somme, Seine-Maritime, Eure, Seine-et-Marne, and Val-d’Oise). The initiative raised over €2.6 million through bonds offering a 7.25% interest rate, complementing previously secured bank financing.

Construction began in February 2025 and involved several contractors, including local companies, particularly for civil works. This approach reflects Innergex and EOLFI’s commitment to supporting local economic activity wherever they operate.

The project benefits from a 20-year power purchase agreement, providing long-term revenue visibility. It also further strengthens Innergex’s presence in the Hauts-de-France region, with expected synergies with nearby projects, including the Bois des Cholletz wind farm in Conchy-les-Pots, as well as other projects currently under development in the area.
