The relaunch is led by Bart Vereecke, co-founder and former CEO of Enovates, together with four experienced key managers from the former company and with the support of the investment group of entrepreneur and investor Kees Koolen.
Enovates (Lokeren, founded in 2011) grew into Belgium’s largest EV charging station manufacturer and built a strong technological position in professional charging infrastructure, smart charging and bidirectional charging solutions. Following an acquisition in 2024 and the bankruptcy in 2026, the technology and customer base is being anchored again in an independent company through Enovates Group NV, with a clear focus on continuity, quality and further product development.
The ambition is to build a stronger, sharper and more future-oriented company. The focus lies on reliable charging solutions, open smart charging software, bidirectional V2G charging stations, service and further product development. In doing so, Enovates Group NV continues to focus on B2B customers such as charging networks, parking operators, companies and public infrastructure providers.
“Enovates has always had a strong technological core, loyal customers and a wealth of product knowledge” said Bart Vereecke, CEO of Enovates Group NV. “We could not let that value go to waste. We are now bringing back the pioneering spirit with which we once started. This is not a classic restart, but a second chance to put Belgian charging technology back in the spotlight.”
