Ocean DEMO Opens First Call to Support Ocean Energy Farm Installations

Several past projects such as FORESEA have proven ocean energy technologies’ great potential, it is now time to scale up."

Funded by Interreg North-West Europe, Ocean DEMO is a €13 million ($14,577,000) project aiming to accelerate ocean energy’s transition from single prototype to multi-device farms by providing free access to world-leading test centers:

• EMEC – European Marine Energy Centre, UK – Project leader
• DMEC – Dutch Marine Energy Centre, Netherlands
• Centrale Nantes/SEM-REV, France
• SmartBay – Marine and Renewable Energy Test Site, Ireland
