There are two key components of the sandbox bp are currently looking to source, an Electricity Power Markets Emulator (EPM) and a Market Aggregator-Optimizer player (MAP/MOP) emulator.
Electricity Power Markets Emulator (EPM) - Simulating the core aspects and conditions of the UK electricity power market including but not limited to the generation stack, merit order pricing, demand-supply imbalance (long/short system conditions) and settlement-balancing activities in real-time.
Market aggregator-optimizer player - Emulate the operation of a market optimizer exposing generation, energy storage, and demand response assets to the electricity power markets.
