The award ceremony took place at the DFactory Barcelona building, within the framework of the sixth edition of the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) — an international benchmark event for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni; the Minister for Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Eva Menor; the Government Delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto; and the General Director of CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.
On Monday, September 30, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, visited Methanol Reformer’s showroom, meeting with the award winners and highlighting the importance of sustainable innovation for the energy transition.
This recognition positions Methanol Reformer as a sustainability benchmark in an edition that also honored startups in categories such as Aviation, Digital Industry, Health, Mobility, and Talent, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of the innovation ecosystem.
“This award reaffirms our commitment to providing access to sustainable energy wherever it is needed most, with efficient, scalable solutions tailored to different sectors. At the same time, it gives significant visibility to our work and motivates us to keep innovating. We are grateful to BNEW for this recognition, which strengthens the path we are building,” said Javier Torres, Managing Director of Methanol Reformer.
Methanol Reformer offers a wide range of products, including its modular units (Basic Unit L/M18 and L/M30) and its mobile and stationary hydrogen supply systems (H-Nomad) and electricity supply systems (ENomad). These solutions are designed to deliver reliable, flexible, and on-demand energy to multiple sectors such as sustainable mobility, maritime, port infrastructures, industrial processes, off-grid environments, and data centers, among others.
This award provides further impetus to continue advancing the development of innovative technologies that contribute to a more sustainable and accessible energy model, aligned with global decarbonization challenges — with international reach and presence in multiple markets.
